MARSEC Corporation is pleased to offer a certified Vessel, Company and Facility Security Officer Course.

A COURSE APPROVAL CERTIFICATE was issued by DET NORSKE VERITAS New York (DNV) on behalf of the United States Coast Guard National Maritime Center (NMC) and the United States Maritime Administration (MARAD). The certificate certifies that the course is in compliance with the Guidelines for Maritime Security Training Course Providers, reference Federal Register February 8, 2005 (Volume 70, Number 25, and the following standards:

• Regulations 13.1 (Part A and B), 13.2 (Part A and B) and 18.1 (Part A and B) of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS)Code;
• IMO Model Course 3.19 Ship Security Officer (2003 edition);
• IMO Model Course 3.20 Company Security Officer (2003 edition);
• IMO Model Course 3.21 Port Facility Security Officer (2003 edition); and
• STCW Convention 1978, as amended, Regulation VI/5.

Bob J. Gobert, President

Bob, retired from the United States Coast Guard, has served many duties in the last 20 years. His responsibilities have included being assigned Assistant Chief Marine Environmental Response and managing control of 3 well blow-outs to being assigned Assistant Chief Port Operations and Planning Section Chief for the Maritime Security Command Greater Lake Michigan.
